Job Description

You must be enrolled in an AAS in Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or related 2 year field of study program! ID1 Expansion is looking for enthusiastic interns to join our state-of-the-art research and development fabrication facility. As one of the most advanced fabs globally, we specialize in various process areas including Wet Etch, Dry Etch, Diffusion, Photolithography, Metrology, RDA, PCVD, CMP, Implantation, and Probe. As a Fab Equipment Maintenance Technician Intern, you will gain a basic knowledge of the semiconductor fabrication process.

What you'd do

  • Complete required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies.
  • On the job training for preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
  • Receive training and participate in area continuous improvement programs.
  • Partner with operations technicians and shift engineers/technicians to complete daily priorities that improve learning cycles.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for equipment-related problems and address root causes.
  • Improve equipment availability by investigating chronic tool problems and finding solutions.
  • Maintain documentation on tool status, including observations and work performed.
  • Perform and facilitate audits and submit good catches on safety and quality issues.

What they want

  • Must be enrolled in an AAS in Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or related field of study.
  • Encouraged completion of degree between December 2027 and June 2028
  • Relocating to Boise, Idaho to complete a 3-month internship
  • Must be willing to relocate to Boise if offered a full time role after internship.
