What you'd do
- Conduct research to support the development and launch of a new commercial electric water heating product.
- Evaluate designs for compliance with design specifications, conduct comparative evaluations, and create associated documentation.
- Develop laboratory and field test programs to validate product performance against design specifications and support certification to applicable safety standards.
- Work with engineers in a laboratory environment to conduct testing using instrumentation and measurement equipment.
- Document test procedures, analyze data, and summarize results.
- Work with engineers to gain experience using CAD tools and business software.
- Demonstrate accountability by maintaining accurate research and testing documentation and following through on assigned project responsibilities.
- Summarize and present internship learning, project results, and experiences to the leadership team.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Director, Applied Research or Company management.

- Current student (junior or senior status).
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Interest in research and product development, with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Data analysis skills.

- Ability to understand electrical schematics and mechanical systems.
