Yes. Looking needs no account and costs nothing; applying, saving and posting a project are free too. It is built for students first and will stay that way.
Two places. Some are posted here directly — by labs, local businesses and students looking for collaborators. The rest are pulled every morning from public boards: UCSC Academic Recruit and the careers pages of companies on Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, SmartRecruiters and Workday. Every pulled listing links back to the original posting, and when one disappears upstream it is closed here rather than deleted, because someone may be halfway through applying.
No. The whole board is public: search it, filter it, sort it, and read any listing in full without signing in. An account is for the things that need to know who you are — applying, saving, messaging a lab, and having each listing read against your own major, skills and hours.
UC Santa Cruz, for now. The campus listings and the student projects are UCSC’s; the company roles are the ones a UCSC student can actually apply to. Other campuses come after this one works.
Every morning. Each source is re-read on its own schedule between 6 and 8 am Pacific; new roles appear, changed ones update, and anything gone upstream is closed. The posted date on a card is the source’s own, not the day it was pulled.
